Wiggles
Female
dog
Age: Adult
NorCal Boxer Rescue
Hi There,
My name is Wiggles and I am a beautiful 7-8 year old fawn female looking for love! Do not let my age full you. 7 is the new 4! So let me tell you a little bit about me and my situation.
I am potty trained and accustomed to using a doggie door. In fact, I have NEVER had an accident in the house. I am the best jogging partner. My Mom really enjoys taking me and my human baby brother for runs when it is nice outside. Oh and let me tell you about my baby brother. He 10 months and I LOVE HIM! Mom brought him home one day and I fell in love. She has never had to worry about me unsupervised. In fact, my baby brother often gets into my food bowl when I am trying to eat and I have never batted an eye. I can not say that I have been around other kids, but I sure do love my brother, especially around his meal time if you get my drift! I am very loyal and love my family very much. All I want in life is to play with Mom for an hour or so every day and get my head or belly scratched while laying on the couch! Ahh ... that used to be my life. But now, since my Mom is working a lot and watching over my brother when she gets home, she just does not have time for me anymore. She sees the sadness in my eyes and it breaks her heart. She knows that a great girl like me deserves the best life. So, if you think we are a match, please let NorCal know!
Oh, and I should say, I am not really a dog person, or a cat person. I get a little territorial when it comes to my people and I do not want other critters playing with them. I would enjoy a home where I am the only pet, so I can have all the loving to myself:)

Ralph
Male
dog
Age: Adult
NorCal Boxer Rescue
My name is Ralph, one of our volunteers gave me that name. She and her son probably didn't know it means "wolf counsel". My foster mom thinks it's fitting. She says I am strong and crafty like a wolf. I like to howl and let you know what I need and am thinking. My foster mom tells me to sit and when I do I get really good food and treats. If I jump she turns her back to me and then I sit again and she hugs me and tells me how good I am. It takes me a few minutes to settle in my crate, but I know not to make a mess in there or in the house. I also wised up and I don't fall in the drinking bowl in the backyard any more. my foster mom says stay out of the pool, not sure what that means though. If you give me a chance and we work together we can be a great team. Let NCBR know and we can meet some day soon.
Your future canine companion,
Ralph

Age: Mature
NorCal Boxer Rescue
Hi guys, I'm Nellie! Don't let my pretty silver face fool you, I still have LOTS of love to give!
My foster mom just introduced me to cats, and so far I'm doing pretty well at ignoring them!
I get along well with other dogs, and love to sleep on my blanket! I don't need much attention, just feed me twice a day and let me be right next to you! I don't get on furniture, and know not to play with things that aren't mine. I am a pretty easy going girl. If you think I would be a great fit for your family, please fill out an application!

Micki
Female
dog
Age: Adult
NorCal Boxer Rescue
Micki is as sweet as they come! She is a young boxer with exceptionally young boxer energy! She is the best behaved girl. She will stop in her tracks and listen to what she is being told. She is as loyal as they come. As much as she is well behaved and mannered, she DOES need a very playful, energetic canine companion in her forever home.
Micki has a sad story...she won't be going a forever home anytime soon. She needs a very extensive, bone breaking surgery to repair a very damaged ACL in one of her rear legs. This surgery costs around $2500 and will entail a couple months of downtime followed by therapy. If she does not have this surgery, she risks losing a leg, and/or damaging the other leg while compensating for the injured one. Micki would be so grateful for donations in any amount to get her on the road to recovery so she can start living the life of the energetic girl she loves to be... and deserves :)
XOXO Micki

Maverick - Vet Hold
Male
dog
Age: Adult
NorCal Boxer Rescue
Maverick is a NCBR alum whose family adopted him when he was a puppy and before they had children. Maverick had a loving home for five years and in that time he became a well-behaved pet and a good big brother to both a Pomerian and a real little boy. Unfortunately, the child developed such severe allergies that both dogs had to be re-homed. It was a very difficult decision for the family.
Maverick is a wonderful guy. He is energetic and alert, but not at all hyper. Maverick loves to be around his people; he has a happy dance that he does when he sees you coming around the corner! Maverick takes immediately to being with other dogs, and he loves to go for walks. He knows the word "walk", and he will "go crate" and "sit" on command. Maverick is completely housebroken and does not steal things, chew things, or get on the furniture. He has all the advantages of a very young dog without any of the hassles. Maverick has never known anything but loving family environment, so he would be an easy (and wonderful) addition to any family!
Jewel
Female
dog
Age: Young
NorCal Boxer Rescue
Hi There,
My name is Jewel and I am a spry young pup looking for my forever family. My foster mom said she named me Jewel because I am a "diamond in the rough". I am a very wiggly pup who enjoys running and playing and of course, taking naps. I like to snuggle but I also like my kennel and sleep through the night. Although you cannot tell from this picture, I am missing my left eye. It had to be surgically removed due to some sort of injury but that was before I came to NCBR. Regardless, I do not even notice that it is gone. I can see just fine. I am learning the simple commands of "sit", "come", "stay". I use the doggie door and go outside when I need to potty. I am learning to walk on a leash and to ride in a car. I am very friendly, fully vetted, and am looking for my forever family. So if you are interested in a wonderful puppy, apply today.

Charlie
Male
dog
Age: Adult
NorCal Boxer Rescue
I just wanted to give everyone an update on Charlie. He is a healthy, high energy boxer. He loves to play with toys as you can see in this picture! He walks really well on a leash and would also make a great running buddy. He is fully potty trained and knows how to use a dog door or will let you know if he needs to go out. He loves to meet new people but gets very excited when new people come over. He sometimes requires a time out in his crate to settle down so as to not plow the visitor down. Charlie does great with other dogs, he currently lives with an older, grumpy boxer female and a fun loving boxer male and we have had no issues. He respects the grumpy one (and gets her to play with him sometimes!) and runs and romps around with the male.
Charlie is hoping to find a forever home with a family that will be able to spend lots of time with him. He would prefer to have a stay at home parent that can give him plenty of attention, walks, and play time. Although he will go into his crate, he does have some separation issues. I don't know his past story but he gets pretty anxious when one of us leaves the house and will run back and forth between the two windows that are floor to ceiling and whines some and then licks pretty excessively the windows. This is something that we have been working with him to redirect his attention when he starts this.
Charlie really needs a home with another boxer or other high energy dog that they can get lots of play time in together. I don't think he would be very happy as an only dog. As for cats....nope! He is not a fan. As far as being kid friendly, I would say he is more suitable with older to teenage kids that will be able to handle his high energy level of play.
If you are looking for a very sweet, rambunctious boxer and are willing to provide an endless supply of toys, love and patience....Charlie is your man! I promise you will fall in love with this boy! He kinda stole our hearts! Just look at that cuteness! Charlie will be waiting to hear from you.

Boomer
Male
dog
Age: Young
NorCal Boxer Rescue
My name is Boomer. I'm an 8 month old, brindle boxer boy. I'm independent and can entertain myself for hours with anything I find laying nearby...toys, sticks, even leaves in a pinch! I also like to play with my foster family and other dogs. I am friendly and cuddly with everyone. I like my crate, and I've learned the basics, like "sit", "down", "leave it" and "stay". I know what "stay" means, but I have too much energy and curiosity to "stay" for too long. I'm still learning how to walk on my leash, and I love to explore the neighborhood. Since I'm a very curious pup still, I will require structure and consistency throughout my younger years. I'm a happy go lucky guy, looking for my forever home.
