Dr. Chauna Stinson
Assistant Medical Director
Dr. Chauna Stinson, I-20’s assistant medical director, has been practicing emergency and preventative medicine at I-20 Animal Medical Center since 2009. She grew up in northeast Texas and has the accent to prove it! Her dream of becoming a veterinarian started when she was 7 years old, and she cared for her many pets growing up.
She enjoys challenging internal medicine cases, especially infectious and endocrine diseases and dermatology. Dr. Stinson received her B.S. in biomedical science from Texas A&M University in 2004 and graduated cum laude from Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2008. (She is a diehard Aggie fan.)
She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society. Her favorite breed is the Golden Retriever and she has previously worked with the Golden Retriever Rescue of North Texas. She enjoys biking, jogging, traveling and spending time with family and friends in her spare time. Dr. Stinson and her husband live in Fort Worth with their two lazy cats, Will and Grace.
